Principal's Message

Deanna M. Plascencia

Bandini Elementary is the home of the mighty Bulldogs, and has a rich tradition of academic excellence and student achievement.  We take pride in our school community and our instructional programs.  All students are encouraged and supported in reaching their highest potential and personal goals.

At Bandini Elementary, we believe in working as partners with parents and the school community to provide a positive school environment where children excel academically and feel safe and nurtured.  Our children are held to high expectations and are encouraged to develop to their optimal academic, social and personal potential.

Parent involvement is a vital component of student success and we appreciate parent support with daily homework and class projects. We also welcome parents to volunteer and help to enrich our school programs.

The goal at Bandini Elementary is for all students to meet or exceed grade level standards, to have a positive self-image, to make positive choices and to prepare every child for participation in the 21st century as successful and productive citizens.  To achieve this goal, teachers at Bandini utilize a variety of instructional strategies based on current research and practice.  Working together, we will lead and provide academic support to ensure student success and progress.

As principal of Bandini Elementary, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school and to our website.  It is an honor to be the principal of such an outstanding educational community.  Together we will make Bandini Elementary a community of life long learners and provide each student the foundations for future academic achievement.  Please feel free to contact me at: (323) 887-7898 or plascencia_deanna@montebello.k12.ca.us.
